Elizabeth has drastically improved services for young people creating a teen area, Warhammer clubs, Manga workshops and other weird and wacky events. “I’m a bubbly, skittish and enthusiastic person. I am passionate about the job that I do and I care so much about the services we provide for the young people of today. I want to make a difference in young peoples lives and it enriches my life in the work that I do with them.

“I am currently inspiring teenagers, children, toddlers and babies to get into reading and come into libraries. I am singing songs, reading stories, bouncing along to rhyme time and encouraging children to take part in the Summer Reading Challenge.

“The future of public libraries is a rapidly changing environment and it is important to look to the future and ensure the library service is up to date with the relevant skills needed from professional staff. I thrive in a changing environment and am always looking for ways to improve and move the library service forward.

“Libraries open up a whole world of new possibilities and adventures to all.”
