This year’s Family Learning week takes place from Saturday 6th – Sunday 14th October, and many libraries across the country wil be hosting fun family friendly events and activities to celebrate the occassion.

Libraries are great places for families. You can discover a world of fabulous reads, access the internet, meet with friends and make new ones, find out about events in your local area and join in with lots of fun family learning activities, such as rhyme-times, sing-a-longs and reading groups.
Last year thousands of families – mums, dads, carers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces – told us what they love most about libraries, and here are just some of the most popular things:
• friendly and welcoming staff
• free activities and events
• access to fast computers, books, DVDs, story tapes and information
• chance to meet other families in a local, trusted, community space
